WMCLB Speakers

Picture
Looking for a Speaker for your next WMCLB Event???
We have brought together a group of women who would love to share God’s Word with your group at a single event or at a retreat, whether in person, via Zoom, or by prerecorded video.
Send us a note at [email protected] and we would be happy to help you find the right choice for your group.

We have already established a library of seven recorded studies, each about 40 minutes long, each with discussion questions, and each based on a “Woman of the Bible”.

The Attributes of God in Joshua

New from our very own LB pastor's wife and WM speaker, Alyssa McIvor, is a fresh and encouraging study of the Book of Joshua.

It starts with 2 weeks of studying the attributes of God, followed by 8 weeks that train you to recognize how those attributes show up in all aspects of our lives through a study of the book of Joshua. Alyssa takes you straight to the scriptures to discover the truth, and to encourage and challenge you with its words. A leader's guide is included. For more info, contact Alyssa directly at [email protected] or email  [email protected].

Ragged: Spiritual Disciplines for the Spiritually Exhausted

Picture
In Ragged, Gretchen Ronnevik aims to reclaim spiritual disciplines as good gifts given by our good Father instead of heavy burdens of performance carried by the Christian.
Gretchen uses this distinction on law and gospel, presented throughout Scripture, to guide readers through spiritual disciplines including prayer, meditation, Scripture reading, and discipleship, among others.  Available at Amazon.com.

Rooted in the Word

By Ruth Vallevik, former Director of Women’s Ministries

Is God’s Grace given to everyone? Is the human race really estranged from God? What’s the difference between a Presbyterian and a Lutheran Church? What does the sacrament of Baptism really mean? Do Lutherans believe people can “lose” their salvation? In these pages you will find biblical answers to questions that you may have pondered for a long time. You’ll find summaries of what various churches teach about salvation, worship, living by faith, life after death, end times, the Reformation, and heresies. The book is available at Amazon.com (paperback and Kindle), barnesandnoble.com, and by emailing [email protected].. Discussion questions for group study are available at no cost.

Audio Bible Study - The King & I

Picture
By Ruth Vallevik, former Director of Women’s Ministries

A study of the King and kingdom, and how we live in this kingdom in recognition, redemption, submission, commission, and anticipation. Presented at the Eastern Region's 2018 Retreat. Matthew 6: 33 - Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you.
