We believe that this ministry will not only bless the community in terms of food security, but will also serve to further share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in this village."
Through LBIM, WMCLB has an opportunity to make a significant and far-reaching impact into a needy Chadian community, for the sake of the gospel. Our Chadian missionary partner has made great inroads into this community, developing trust and relationship with community leaders. In the last few years, he has been working with a women’s agricultural cooperative in the community. This relationship is not only benefiting the community as a whole but is serving as a powerful platform by which the gospel is being heard among the people. An opportunity has arisen which we feel will further bless and grow this relationship for the sake of the gospel. We have plans for a new grain storage facility, 6 meters by 10 meters in size, with solid concrete floors and walls, iron trusses, tin roof, windows for ventilation and a solid door for security purposes. This building will protect the grain from weather, rodents, livestock, and theft. The estimated cost for this structure is $12,000.00
We believe that this ministry will not only bless the community in terms of food security, but will also serve to further share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in this village. We pray that their community will not only be known by their Arabic name, the “city of God”, but that they themselves will become true children of God, and brothers and sisters with us in Christ. We are calling this the JOSEPH PROJECT and it has been chosen as the FOCUS Project for WMCLB for 2022-2023
