Focus Project 2025-26: Making Room

An increase in giving and lower expenses for 2024-25 have left us with a surplus and because of this, we are happy to report that WMCLB can give more to our mission projects for this year.  Our FOCUS project is titled “MAKING ROOM” and it includes three important ministries:

• MAKING ROOM for more students at Gethsemane de N’djamena-Bousso (GDNB) in Chad, Africa.  Last year, we helped this new school with funds for security fencing and teacher housing. This year we would like to help them build permanent classrooms to replace their temporary, thatched roof ones.
• MAKING ROOM for families at Lincoln Church and Community Center in North Dakota. This new church acquired a building in February and we are helping them to reach out to their community by providing funds for a children’s playroom/mother’s room and for family games and activities for all ages!
• MAKING ROOM for students from all over the world at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, our CLB school in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Hillcrest has been welcoming students for over 100 years and their dorms are in need of renovation and refurbishment. Women’s Ministries would once again like to be part of this effort to provide a home away from home where students from all over the world can grow in Christ.

SWEET Retreat

Funds for a yearly retreat for Seminary women to encourage, equip and train them for ministry.

Providing assistance in times of crisis for Pastors’ wives and women in congregational ministry.
