Pacific North Region 2021 Report
The Pacific Region North is made up of congregations from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. It has been a different and challenging time to be involved in women’s ministry this past year, but that is sometimes how we know that our ministry is important. The struggle and joy of women’s ministry in our region has been to support and meet women at varying places of life. With that, we have continued to encourage women in their local churches to be intentionally involved in the lives of one another and expand that out to our communities. Women in our region are involved in many church ministries but also find the challenge of living their lives in the Pacific Northwest, an area highly known for its unchurched population. There is a constant need to be involved in families, communities, and workplaces where daily lives are constantly turned into opportunities to share God.
Our challenges last year continued well into this year on our PRNWM Regional board. This includes continuing to operate with some vacant positions on the board. Our board now includes: Erin Sibuma, President; Kim Goodman, Treasurer; and Amber Topham, Secretary.
The positions of Vice-President North, Vice-President South, and Retreat Coordinator are open at this time.
Unfortunately, during this time of Pandemic and our government’s COVID restrictions, which have been very strict in our region all year, all of our events have continued to be postponed until further notice. As a regional board, we have been feeling called to hear from our sisters in Christ, and learn how we can serve our regional churches better. Once we are able to have gatherings again, we plan to do a series of cluster meetings with our church and talk with them and learn how we can better serve them and assist them in serving their communities.
There have not been any Regional Women’s Ministry activities this past year.
We look forward to being able to gather and connect again in person. Until then we continue to lift each other up in prayer.
In Christ,
Erin Sibuma,
WM Pacific Region North President
